Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) hosted Fun-O-Rama 2025 on May 15, bringing together students from across Shillong and beyond for its annual intercollegiate cultural fest. Organized by the Student Council, the event was a full day of creativity, collaboration, and electrifying student energy.

The highlight of the event? Undoubtedly the Cosplay Competition. The winners were Jasmine and George from Shillong College. Following closely were Grace V. Sailo of J.D. Institute of Designing, Bangalore, and Rimika Wanniang of Synod College. Others who caught attention as cosplayers were Pynshngain B. Lyngkhoi of MLCU (Best Performance), Iahunlang Kharmyndai and Daryll Warjri of Shillong Commerce College (Best Costume), and Della Nongspung of Lady Keane College, who impressed the judges and was given the Judge’s Choice award.

But cosplay wasn’t the sole hype. The academic departments were converted into creative stalls, with music and dance, games and tasty food transforming every nook and corner of the campus. Each department took the occasion to highlight their strengths and interact with the crowd of visitors.

It was blessed by Chief Guest Sir Rieward V. Warjri, ex-IFS officer, who commended the university for promoting creativity and community spirit among Shillong youth. As put by one Student Council member, “Fun-O-Rama isn’t just a fest—it’s where expression meets connection.”

With students from all corners of Shillong participating, Fun-O-Rama 3.0 showed one and all why it’s an event not to miss. A day filled with color, talent, and oneness reminding us of how vibrant student life in Shillong really is.
