Cosplay Magic Lights Up Ward’s Lake Evening Market

Shillong, if you were not at Ward’s Lake Evening Market on March 29, 2025, you truly missed out! This was not any ordinary weekend outing—it was a full-fledged cosplay party with some of the most gorgeous costumes, drop-dead performances, and anime craziness right on the lake.

Lakeside Cosplay Competition – The Ultimate Showdown

Organized by our very own Shillong Cosplay Community (SCC), the Lakeside Cosplay Competition saw the entry of the finest cosplayers from Shillong and even the other states of the northeastern region. Having Della Nongspung (@dxan_cos) and Ban Pariat (@shillonganime.custom) as the judges, the competition was very stiff, and the winners deserved every bit of their moment in the limelight!

Anime Merchandise & Costume Tryouts – Because Who Doesn’t Love Dressing Up?
What’s a cosplay event without anime goodies? Our mates at @shillonganime.custom had a legendary anime merchandise booth where fans were able to pick up their favorite collectibles. Don’t have a costume but need one? No worries! The brilliant @jesterscar98 created a costume tryout booth, so fans could enjoy the fun of cosplay without incurring costly costumes.
